2:1 Low Viscosity Epoxy Resin for Deep Casting
Model: 318AB-TS2 Mixing Ratio: 2:1 by volume
Epoxy Resin 318AB-TS2 is a high-performance two-component system with a 2:1 mix ratio, specially designed for large-scale casting and deep pouring applications. Its formulation maintains ultra-low viscosity while providing excellent flowability and generous working tolerance. Under precise control of ambient and mold temperatures, this product enables a single deep pour of up to 15cm while naturally releasing entrapped air for a clean, bubble-free cure. With a full curing time of 36 to 48 hours, it strikes a refined balance between sufficient working time and controlled exothermic heat, making it an ideal choice for professional users who prioritize both efficiency and quality.

The Deep-Pour Specialist That Combines Ultra Fluidity With Fast Curing
In the world of deep casting, low viscosity and fast cure are often at odds – low viscosity typically means more reactive diluents, which usually result in slower curing. The 318AB-TS2 breaks this convention: through precision 2:1 formulation engineering, we've achieved extreme low viscosity while compressing cure time to just 36-48 hours, giving you both the handling ease of "water-like flow" and the production efficiency of "rapid demolding."

Ideal Applications
River dining tables, solid wood tea slabs, resin decorative panels, mold casting reproductions, craft figurines, small-scale sculptures, and more.

Caution
1. The operating environment should be ventilate and should keep away from fire. Closely sealed after use.
2. Avoid eye contact, in case of contact, wash with plenty of water and get medical attention immediately.
3. If contact skin, wrap with clean cloth or paper, and wash it with water and soap.
4. Keep away from children.
5. Please take a trial before application to avoid usage mistake.
Storage And Shelf Life
1. Store at the temperature of 25°C or cool and dry place. Avoid from sunlight, high temperature or high humidity environment.
2. Use up as soon as possible when opened. It is strictly forbidden to expose to the air for a long time after it is opened to avoid affecting the quality of the products. The shelf life is 12 months in the room temperature of 25°C.

FAQ
-
Why does this product support 15cm deep pours but requires temperature control?
-
All epoxy resins generate exothermic heat during thick-layer casting – the larger the volume, the more concentrated the heat. While the 318AB-TS2 features a low-exotherm formulation, 15cm is still a significant thickness. Ambient temperatures above 28°C can accelerate the reaction and cause heat buildup, potentially leading to overheating. We recommend maintaining 20°C–25°C with adequate mold heat dissipation.
-
Can I sand and polish immediately after 36-48 hours of curing?
-
36-48 hours indicates full cure hardness (Shore 80D+), at which point sanding, cutting, and polishing can commence. However, we recommend allowing an additional 12-24 hours after demolding for internal stress relaxation, ensuring better dimensional stability.
-
What is Low Viscosity Epoxy Resin for Deep Casting used for?
-
It is specially formulated for deep-pour projects such as river dining tables, solid wood tea tables, resin decorative panels, mold casting reproductions, craft figurines and small sculptures. Its low viscosity allows the resin to flow easily into deep molds and detailed cavities.
-
Why is low viscosity important for deep casting?
-
Ultra-low viscosity helps the resin flow like water, penetrate narrow gaps, surround embedded objects and naturally release trapped air. This makes it suitable for thick pours and molds with complex details.
-
Can pigments or decorative materials be added?
-
Yes. Compatible resin pigments, mica powder, glitter, dried flowers, stones and other decorative materials can be added. Use only dry, resin-compatible materials and avoid adding excessive pigment.
